- JH RACING JOIN JUNIOR PROGRAMME
- £85,000 SEASON PRICE TAG FOR 16-25 YEAR OLDS
- SEVEN ROUNDS PLUS SEVEN TEST DAYS
JH Racing have confirmed that the team will run an entry as part of the TCR UK junior programme for the 2025 season.

The low priced (£85k plus VAT) slot for drivers aged 16-25 aims to open up the series to junior racers looking to step up to Touring Car racing, while competing with a front running team.
The Hyundai i30N seat with JHR should see the occupant quickly develop with a squad that arguably ran the fastest cars in the series in 2024. The teams title came the way of the James Hone run team during its second full campaign in TCR UK.
With Callum Newsham taking six wins and challenging for the title, along with Darron Lewis becoming a revitalised driver claiming podiums and the Goodyear Diamond title, the team have moved to the sharp end of the TCR UK paddock.
The Junior Driver initiative will feature four cars across various teams. The initial announcement by Maximum Motorsport detailed that the £85,000 fee will cover entry for seven rounds – including Friday testing – along with tyres, fuel and Hyundai Engineering support.
“I’m delighted to see JH Racing confirm their involvement with next year’s Junior Touring Car Programme” series promoter Stewart Lines stated. “Having been a strong, competitive force in this year’s championship, this is the best possible opportunity for junior drivers to make the next step up to touring car racing, learning their trade with a race-winning touring car team.”
At a juncture where Tin Top racing is suffering across the board in the UK in terms of costs, the project places TCR UK as a viable and serious route for drivers under the age of 25 aiming to build a career in either the BTCC or TCR competition on the European or even World stage.
The price tag comparison when compared to TOCA support championships such as the JCW Mini series, or the two Porsche Championships, but in machines with comparable performance and closer handling characteristics, should make the openings even more attractive especially with TCR UK now running under BARC – the organising club for TOCA meetings.
