Un-Limited Motorsport have announced that Jamie Warren will take over the reigns as team manager as the squad expands to run two examples of the Cupra Leon in 2025.
Warren, who perhaps understands the BTCC Leon better than anyone, will oversee the team as it brings a returning Dexter Patterson and rookie Max Hall to the grid, with the team aiming for success in both the Independent class and the Jack Sears Trophy.
Warren was involved with the introduction of the Cupra into the BTCC in 2021 with Team HARD, and in 2024 shifted to Restart Racing as the former TCR UK team made its BTCC debut with the marque. Those four years with the machine as it went from initial entry and through development means that he is the ideal choice for the team as Un-Limited look to build on an impressive debut last season.
“I’m excited to be joining Un-Limited Motorsport at such a pivotal moment,” Warren, who was recently spotted on Instagram seat fitting Patterson said of his new role. “The team made huge strides in 2024, finding its feet in the BTCC, and now 2025 is about showing what we’re truly capable of. The team ended last season on a high with our best finish at Brands Hatch, and that momentum is something we’re determined to build on. With two exciting young talents in Max Hall and Dexter Patterson, we have a strong foundation to push forward. My focus is on ensuring we’re fully prepared, maximising our potential, and making a real impact from the get-go at Donington.”
The team put up an underdog fight last season with a single Cupra. It proved a solid basis for Daryl DeLeon to leapfrog to multiple BTCC Champions West Surrey Racing for the upcoming campaign, which in-turn put on display the grit that Un-Limited is becoming known for. Team owner Bob Sharpless, who has invested heavily in bringing quality people to the outfit to move up the grid this term said: “We’ve made huge strides in a short amount of time, and we’re not stopping here. Our goal for 2025 is clear: to extract maximum performance from both cars and fight for strong results throughout the season. Jamie’s experience in BTCC will be instrumental as we enter our biggest challenge yet. Having him on board now means we can hit the ground running when the season starts.”
