JEFF ALDEN JOINS POWER MAXED RACING FOR TCR UK 2025 SEASON

Jeff Alden will be the third driver to team up with Power Maxed Racing in TCR UK for the 2025 season. The former Civic Cup and Volkswagen Cup racer made his TCR UK debut during the second half of the 2023 season, and contested a partial campaign in 2024 and will team up with the BTCC outfit in a Gen 1 Audi.

“2025 is a brand new season, and I’m looking forward to a fresh start as I join Power Maxed Racing on their return to the championship,” Alden stated. “I’ve already had the chance to test the Audi, and so far, it’s delivered on the promise that it showed last year when I drove it at Silverstone. I’m very excited to get the 2025 season underway and go racing again.”

Alden previously raced an Opel Astra in the Championship before having a taste of the Audi RS3 LMS sequential machine on the National layout at Silverstone last year, before testing the car at Donington last week.

BTCC outfit have already taken onboard Junior drivers Harry Bloor and Finn Leslie who will go down the Hyundai i30 route, while Alden will be aiming to find success in the Gen 1 Cup for older TCR machinery, as well as hunting for silverware in the Goodyear Diamond Trophy

Maximum Motorsport boss and TCR UK Promoter Stewart Lines said: “It’s great to see Jeff return to TCR UK this year with the Audi and also with PMR. The TCR concept is built around customer racing, where drivers of any age and talent can compete in equal machinery in every race weekend. The Gen 1 Cup was introduced last season, which provided the opportunity for new and current drivers to fight for honours across the season in older TCR machinery. It’s good to see that drivers and teams are once again signing up for the Gen 1 Cup in 2025.”

A number of other drivers tested at Donington Park last week, and are yet to make official announcements about their racing plans for 2025.
