CEDRIC BLOCH RETURNS FOR 2025 TCR UK SEASON WITH AUDI RS3

Cedric Bloch has confirmed that he will contest the full 2025 TCR UK season in the Gen 1 Cup in his modified Audi RS3.

The French driver made his debut on the Silverstone National layout in 2024 before adding the International layout final round to his calendar to see out the year.

Bloch made history in 2024 by becoming the first paraplegic driver to compete in TCR UK with hand controls fitted to his DSG variant RS3, and ended the year with a Gen 1 Cup win after suffering from a litany of mechanical issues on his debut weekend.

“I enjoyed the 2024 season and had a fantastic time in TCR UK despite the mechanical issues we had. Having shown my speed in last year’s events, my goal for 2025 is clear: To try and win the Gen 1 Cup,” Bloch said. “I’m very excited about the prospect of TCR UK moving to BARC for 2025, allowing for better races at some great venues, as well as joining the British Truck Racing Championship and the British GT Championship for several weekends.”

The car will be run by Simon Green Motorsport once again in what is shaping up to be a competitive Gen 1 line up for the category for 2025, with the championship keen on expanding the category further in the weeks ahead.

“Cedric created a moment of history with his entry in TCR UK last year and showed that any driver can compete in a touring car, regardless of the physical or mental challenges that they face,” TCR UK promoter Stewart Line said. “As soon as he was up to speed in the Audi, Cedric was a race-winning contender in the Gen 1 Cup, showing that running one of these older cars offers a competitive option to anyone who wants to go racing in TCR UK.”
