Touring Car Magazine unveils “Making a Racing Classic – The TOCA Touring Car Story”: A Documentary Celebrating the Iconic 1997 and 1998 PlayStation and PC Games.

Featuring interviews with those who developed the games, viewers will get behind the wheel of a cultural phenomenon that brought the heart-pounding excitement of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) to living rooms worldwide.

“Making a Racing Classic – The TOCA Touring Car Story” explores the development of these beloved games, which set a new standard for console racing simulations with their immersive gameplay, and authentic BTCC atmosphere. The documentary features exclusive interviews with original developers who share untold stories of the creative and technical challenges they overcame to bring the TOCA experience to life. From pixelated tracks to roaring engines, the film reveals how an emergent giant in Codemasters captured the essence of one of motorsport’s most competitive eras.

The documentary will also be accompanied by a limited-edition book covering the development of the game and how the Super Touring period became a worldwide phenomenon.
