Max Hall will make his TCR UK debut at the next round of the championship racing a Lynk & Co 03 when the series races at Snetterton as part of a double bill with the British Truck Racing Championship.
Hall, who raced the first half of 2025 with Un-Limited Motorsport in the BTCC has already tested the Lynk & Co with Ben Sharpe Racing and reportedly set a blistering pace in the Chinese machine.
“I’m very excited to announce my debut in TCR UK, for the Snetterton weekend,” Hall stated in the official release. “I’m looking forward to putting the Lynk & Co through its paces and showing what I can do in a Front Wheel Drive touring car on a competitive grid.

“The test day went very well, where I got to work with Ben Sharpe and his team, as well as getting laps in the car. I left the test feeling very confident about what I can do. I always aim to go for the win when I’m racing, so I’ll be all out for podium finishes at least at Snetterton.”
Hall will bring his BTCC experience to the grid in the middle of a hotly contested title battle. In a season that has once again seen some contentious racing and disagreement at the front of the grid, adding a young, fast driver with an insatiable taste for victory will add some spice to the backend of the year.
With four races remaining Hall will be eager to fly his flag as he advertises himself for a drive for next season, and on previous form it is obvious he will not bow down to rivals Adam Shepherd, Callum Newsham and the Laidlaws – Sam and Steve if he finds himself at the front of the field hunting for a win.
The move marks a return to Tin Tops after his BTCC tenure. Topping pre-season testing at Croft he put on display the raw speed that the former JSCC Champion and Mini Challenge runner up carried into the opening rounds of the 2025 BTCC season. The results never quite matched the potential, there were flash points, but there was also some hard-fought exciting battles. Ultimatley it led to a split with Un-Limited during the mid-season break. Hall stated his intention to return to the BTCC in the future upon leaving the team and racing in the Snetterton round will be his first competitive Tn Top outing since Oulton Park in June.

Team boss Ben Sharpe said: “We’ve been working hard in the background on the Lynk & Co, and with Max’s first outing, we really hit the ground running, showing some very respectable pace. The car is quick, and together we’re confident we can come in and cause a few surprises in the remaining rounds of the season.”
The Lynk & Co was considered a ‘Unicorn Car’ when it first raced in TCR UK at the start of 2024 – where TCR Europe regular Viktor Andersson took a win first time out. Hall will look to be the first driver to emulate that feat.
That Hall has opted for to race in the championship is welcome news after it was revealed last week that George Jaxon will bring a fourth Cupra Leon VZ into the series. Following the Power Maxed fire that claimed seven TCR cars – including the machines raced by Finn Leslie, Harry Bloor and Rod McGovern – seeing cars join the grid that are new, or are yet to see their potential maximised, is a boon to the series. At the Knockhill BTCC round, when asked about the PMR situation in TCR UK, team boss Adam Weaver said: “That’s something to sort in the coming weeks, but we’ve had plenty of people come forward with cars we can use for the last couple of rounds.”
