Darelle Wilson will make a return to TCR UK for the upcoming Brands Hatch finale – extending his record of logging an entry at least once for every season since the series launched in 2018.
Known for racing his green Vauxhall Astra machine, the TCR UK racer will be bringing a new look to a model of car that he has raced throughout his entire TCR UK tenure. “The Astra will be sporting a new livery thanks to backing from both Aalco and Trade Nation, so I’m excited to get back on track with my aim to finish as high up the order as I can. 2025 has been a challenging year for me personally, so I’m aiming to sign it off on a high,” he stated.
Wilson committed to the very first TCR UK campaign and raced through the Touring Car Trophy seasons where he took an overall victory in the TCR class at Castle Combe in 2021. Alongside racing the car Wilson is also well known in the TCR paddock as an engineer, and his DW Racing outfit has seen a number of drivers enter the championship with the team.
This season Wilson has overseen Alex Jones in his debut campaign with a VW Golf, and the pair will line up as team mates for the Fireworks spectacular year end event. “I’m looking forward to being on the grid for the season finale. Running Alex in his car this year has been a great experience, and I’m excited to join him on track as we expand to two cars,” he added.
Having recently tested at Brands Hatch, Wilson will return to the venue of his last race and entry. His last race outing came at Brands at the end of 2023, but he did enter and practice for the 2024 season opener at the circuit before withdrawing before the races – thus making his entry for the upcoming meeting his eighth consecutive season in the series.

Wilson joins the recently announced Rick Kerry in returning to TCR UK for the final races of the year. Sources suggest that so far 19 entries are committed to the meeting – featuring both returning and new competitors, with the possibility of more entries joining. This will ensure that the championship will have it’s largest field since 2023. On the TCR Talks podcast yesterday Championship Manager Jack Finlan pointed out that they are close to the 20 car mark.
The championship has also announced an open pitlane invitation to fans for the Saturday lunchtime of the Brands Hatch meeting between Qualifying and Race One, giving fans the chance to see the cars up close and meet the drivers. In running with the British Truck Racing Championship, the crowd is expected to be one of the largest of the season at the Kent venue.
