JENSON O’NEILL-GOING TO RACE HONDA WITH POWER MAXED RACING IN 2026 TCR UK CAMPAIGN

Jenson O’Neill-Going, the youngest driver in TCR UK history, has committed to a full campaign in 2026 where he will race a Honda Civic FL5 with Power Maxed Racing.

The move marks a further expansion for PMR, who will now field a second entry alongside the previously announced Rod McGovern. It also bolsters the Honda contingent on the TCR UK grid, bringing the total number of Civic Type Rs to five with Harry Bloor, Carl Boardley Max Hart and Max Hall already confirmed as JAS Honda racers this term.

O’Neill-Going raced a Subaru WRX STi to a Gen One Cup victory in the final TCR UK round at Brands Hatch last year.

“I am incredibly excited to be competing in my first full TCR UK campaign with Power Maxed Racing, driving the Honda FL5. This marks my first full senior season in racing, and I couldn’t be more motivated for the challenge ahead. The car is incredible to drive, with some familiar characteristics from other front wheel drive touring cars I have driven but it’s on another level.

“I am proud to be joining the Power Maxed Racing family. They are a strong, knowledgeable, and passionate team, and I’m ready to give it everything this season. This also marks my first full season stepping away from my family-run team, JamSport Racing, owned by my dad, Jamie Going, where I secured the 2024 Fiesta Junior Championship. It’s been a huge part of my journey so far, and I can’t thank the team enough for getting me to where I am today.

“I extend a huge thank you to everyone working behind the scenes who has made this opportunity possible. I truly appreciate all the support. And of course, thank you to my sponsors Aalco and Mark Webb Building Ltd for backing me on this journey.”

The signing has been met with praise from Championship Manager Jack Finlan, who noted that PMR’s expansion and Jenson’s return add further prestige to the 2026 entry list.

“It’s great to see Jenson confirm his 2026 entry. He broke the record for being the youngest driver ever to compete in TCR UK during the 2025 season finale and now has the best chance possible to go out and prove the ability that he has already shown during his career as he joins Power Maxed Racing for his first full assault on the championship,” said Finlan.

“Power Maxed Racing are a powerhouse in Touring Car Racing in the UK, and their record speaks for itself, especially in TCR UK. Working with Jenson and the Honda FL5 adds another high-quality entry to what is already looking to be the most competitive season yet for the championship. I look forward to seeing how Jenson progresses this year.”
